Outfit of the day

6 02 2011

Well for the outfit of this day,I picked one from the Sartorialist’s blog.As I was doing my every day check on this blog(well,it’s not a every day check, haha)I found this amazing outfit, and as you can see the woman in this photo is not a celebrity or smth,is just a normal woman, which it tells us that not only celebrities have good taste.Well, she’s italian, and italians have a great sense of style.Anyway,I just love the combination between that huge trench and that sweet knitted short dress, and the colors are just perfect.

DIY:Chanel T-shirt

7 04 2010

I think that all of you want a Chanel t-shirt,and that`s why I made a tutorial that may help you in making one.
Materials:
<3 A white t-shirt that fits you
<3 Acrylic paint black color
<3 Small paintbrush
<3 Proportional divider with a soft charcoal pencil.
<3 A ruler
<3 A A4 paper
Step 1:Draw according the scheme shown at the picture. The bigger radius is 10 cm (3.9 in), the small one is 7 cm (2.8 in). You can scale it if you want the logo smaller or bigger
Step 2:After you draw the logo on the paper, prepare the white t-shirt. Put a wide flat book inside of it; this will make it easier to draw on the t-shirt.
Step 3:Place a paper with your logo drawing on the book cover so that you can see it through the white cotton. Draw the logo on the t-shirt with a charcoal pencil.
Step 4:Paint the logo with a brush and black acrylic paint. Apply two coats.
Step 5:Dry the picture for 10 minutes.
Step 6:Iron your t-shirt, the back of cloth for a three minutes to set the paint. Your new handmade Chanel logo t-shirt is ready!
I have tried this,but not on a t-shirt and I used a marker:))..So this is what I`ve done:

Coco Chanel Quotes

4 04 2010

I thought to post some Coco Chanel Quotations. Here I`ve posted just the ones that I like.Hope you enjoy it.

Hugs,Ella.

  •   In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different.
  • A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous.
  • The most courageous act is still to think for yourself.Aloud.
  • As long as you know men are like children, you know everything!
  • Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.[my fav one:x]
  • The best color in the whole world, is the one that looks good, on you!
  • A women who doesn’t wear perfume has no future
  • Elegance is not the prerogative of those who have just escaped from adolescence, but of those who have already taken possession of their future.
  • I don’t understand how a woman can leave the house without fixing herself up a little – if only out of politeness. And then, you never know, maybe that’s the day she has a date with destiny. And it’s best to be as pretty as possible for destiny.
  • There is time for work, and time for love. That leaves no other time
  • There are people who have money and people who are rich.
  • Nature gives you the face you have at twenty; it is up to you to merit the face you have at fifty.
  • Fashion is made to become unfashionable.”
  • Fashion is architecture: it is a matter of proportions
  • Those who create are rare; those who cannot are numerous. Therefore, the latter are stronger.
  • A style does not go out of style as long as it adapts itself to its period. When there is an incompatibility between the style and a certain state of mind, it is never the style that triumphs.
  • I love luxury. And luxury lies not in richness and ornateness but in the absence of vulgarity. Vulgarity is the ugliest word in our language. I stay in the game to fight it.
  • Look for the woman in the dress. If there is no woman, there is no dress.
  • Jump out the window if you are the object of passion. Flee it if you feel it. Passion goes, boredom remains.
  • I don’t know why women want any of the things men have when one the things that women have is men.

London Style

Well,I thought I should make a post about the London Style.Well in fashion this style is called simple:British. It`sreckless vs. academic study like Oxford a la Blair. You can recognize it if you check the printed creations of Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood`s chaotic style. And also don`t forget about the Union Jack emblem!
